I just have to post a few more words about the new Squidoo categories. For my lenses, they don't seem to be so helpful in the short term. I've got several lenses that were consistently in the top 100 that are now falling, falling, falling. They're still Tier 1, but I think they're getting reshuffled and pushed down partly because the categories they're now in are displayed lower on the Squidoo main page than Parenting and Kids - which is where many of my best lenses were former residents.
I don't want to game the system, so I'm hoping the system will shuffle the category displays and give all categories a chance to be above the fold. But I'm also working on my tags a bit more, and reconsidering the category selections I made at first cut.
If anyone else has noticed a similar trend - up or down - do chime in with a comment here.

Hi! I wanted to say that my lenses are also falling... maybe there are SO many lenses being made right now? Since I'm a beginner, it doesn't affect me a lot, at least yet. My lenses are going down 2,000 to 4,000 points, then will go back. I have some small success with editing them and re-saving them.
It's a good policy to edit/update each lens at least once a month, then Publish again and ping if there's at least a module or two that's new. My seasonal lenses fluctuate up and down the tier levels because they're tied to holidays, so that's normal. My concerns are more for the sure-fire best that have been at or close to top 100 for more than a year and are suddenly getting stifled. I don't know if it's due to angeling or the categories, but I'm keeping a watchful eye and making sure each one is tuned up and full of fresh UUU.
